Shruti Govindarajan
Co-Founder
Shruti Govindarajan is a rising senior at Adlai E Stevenson High School, Lincolnshire, IL. She is the president of the Lincolnshire Chapter of the international organization Period Movement. She co-leads the March For Our Lives Buffalo Grove, IL chapter in support of gun control legislation. She also volunteers at Gigi's playhouse teaching life skills and fine motor skills for neuro-diverse kids of all ages. With her passion in research, she is also the research co-chair for the National Student Bioethics Association. Shruti is extremely passionate about spreading awareness for menstrual health and through Every 28 Days, donating 500M sanitary pads as well as providing menstrual health education, sensitization and de-stigmatization campaigns to rural parts of the world.
Amrutha Venkat
Co-Founder
Amrutha Venkat is a junior at Nova Southeastern University. She is majoring in Public Health and minoring in Nutrition, Pre-Health, and Honors Transdisciplinary Studies on the Dual D.O. Med track. As an advocate for making change, she is an avid member of NSU’s Student Government. She prioritizes giving back to her community by volunteering for Gigi’s Playhouse and Promedica Hospice, as well as participating in Alzheimer’s research. Amrutha is extremely passionate about spreading awareness for menstrual health and through Every 28 Days, hopes to serve underrepresented communities lacking female hygiene products.
Nishika Girish
Co-Founder
Nishika Girish is a sophomore at the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign and plans to major in psychology and statistics. Alongside her academic pursuits, she is also deeply committed to social activism and community service. As a co-lead for March For Our Lives Palatine, Nishika is passionate about raising awareness of gun violence and advocating for meaningful change. She has also partnered with WINGS Palatine to support women who have experienced domestic violence, demonstrating her dedication to empowering marginalized communities. In addition to her advocacy work, Nishika has also dedicated her time to volunteering at Northwest Community Hospital, providing support to patients and their loved ones. Her commitment to service underscores her desire to make a positive impact in the world and help those in need.
Niyathi Girish
Co-Founder
Niyathi Girish is currently a junior attending William Fremd High School, where she is an active member of the Junior Varsity Badminton team and the Varsity Chess team. Aside from her athletic and academic pursuits, Niyathi has a passion for baking and has leveraged her skills to give back to her community. She has raised $450 in funds to support girls in chess, providing them with chess boards, clocks, and books. Niyathi is also an enthusiastic volunteer at Gigi's Dance Classes, where she helps students learn and practice dance routines. Additionally, in her free time, she teaches chess to others, sharing her knowledge and love of the game with those around her.

Malini Patel
Volunteer Chair
Malini Patel is a sophomore student at Nova Southeastern University, majoring in biology with a minor in nutrition as part of the Dual Admissions D.O. Program. With a profound commitment to both academic excellence and community service, Malini stands out as a passionate advocate for various causes.In addition to her rigorous academic pursuits, Malini actively contributes to the community as a devoted volunteer for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, working to bring joy to the lives of children facing critical illnesses. She also lends her time and compassion to ProMedica Hospice, where her efforts make a positive impact on individuals and families during challenging times. Malini's academic journey extends beyond the classroom, as she actively participates in lung cancer research at NSU, showcasing her commitment to advancing medical knowledge and contributing to the betterment of healthcare. Driven by a sense of social responsibility, Malini channels her passion towards raising awareness about female menstrual health. She strives to eliminate the stigma surrounding this topic and works towards ensuring access to essential female hygiene products for all. Through her advocacy, Malini aims to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for individuals facing challenges related to menstrual health.
Harani Athwale
Website Manager
Harani Athwale is a highly motivated and dedicated student pursuing a Biology major and Health Informatics minor at Nova Southeastern University, following the Dual D.O. pathway. She has actively sought out opportunities to develop her knowledge and skills in the medical field. Through her clinical volunteer experience at the NCH Hospital Outpatient Facility, Harani gained valuable insight into the importance of patient care and the emotional bond between therapists and their patients. Additionally, her work as a Certified Nursing Assistant allowed her to provide direct patient care, attend to patients' needs, and offer emotional support, further solidifying her passion for healthcare. Moreover, Harani's research internship at SCARF enabled her to acquire knowledge about cardiac conditions, engage in research, and deliver presentations on the conducted research. With a strong academic foundation and hands-on exposure, Harani is committed to further the mission of Every 28 Days and contribute to improving menstrual health education and access.
Nitya Borra
PR Chair
Nitya Borra is a rising junior at William Fremd High School, Palatine, IL. She co-leads Mission:MathMinds, a local nonprofit that thrives to further STEM opportunities for young females by providing resources and interviewing female role models within various STEM fields. She also competes on Varsity Speech Team, where she is dedicated to coaching new members while providing resources to tackle public speaking anxiety. She volunteers at Northwest Community Hospital and organizes fundraisers for the American Red Cross. Nitya is passionate about menstrual health education, specifically in regards to its correlation to overall physical well-being of females.
